From the dancefloor to the decks, Noctifae is the DJ persona of Melanie Dawn—a mystical, playful, and spirited alter ego that has evolved into a powerful creative expression.

Her sound weaves together organic house, Afro house, indie dance, tech house, deep house, and reimagined house edits of timeless classics, creating dancefloor journeys that are both soulful and hypnotic.

For three decades, Melanie has been inspired by electronic music and its culture. Beyond co-creating Living Fae and the Sunset Campout Faerie Ring alongside Anne Elizabeth, her journey began in the ’90s as an indi rave culture music editor/writer and radio show producer/host. She went on to serve as music coordinator for a feature film. Throughout the years, she has contributed to environment production for transformational art, music, and community events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale festivals. Her work across music, event production, digital media, the healing arts and creative storytelling reflects a lifelong passion for building experiences that inspire connection and transformation.

As a resident of the CRC collective, Noctifae channels hypnotic grooves, driving basslines, and deep underground rhythms into immersive dancefloor journeys. Her sets dissolve the boundaries between rave and ritual, inviting dancers to surrender to the music, embrace the moment, and step through the veil into hidden worlds where music becomes magic and movement becomes ritual.
